MEDICINE This is our specialty! Our hospital director, Dr. Eversman, is
Board Certified by the ABVP in Canine and Feline Practice. This means she has
written a number of research papers and has passed special national board exams.
This means that the ABVP believes that Dr. Eversman is better qualified to handle
internal medicine cases. This includes kidney disease, liver disease, pancreatic
disease, diabetes and other disease states classified under the Internal Medicine
category. | DENTISTRY
Pets need dental care too! Neglected teeth accumulate tartar, calculus and bacteria.
If these are not treated properly they can lead to a secondary inflammation of
the gums called gingivitis. Dental disease is not only uncomfortable for your
pet, but can lead to heart, kidney and liver disease. Sara Creek Veterinary Clinic
offers demonstration of home dental care, routine scaling and polishing of teeth
and dental x-rays. | |

SURGERY Sara Creek Veterinary Clinic offers all
routine surgeries, including spays and neuters. For orthopedic surgery or specialized
surgery needs, we utilize local surgical specialists who perform the procedures
in our hospital. We pride ourselves on using the safest, most-effective anesthetic
monitoring equipment available. |
CHEMOTHERAPY Cancer treatments in pets is an area that
has grown in the last 10-20 years. Pets are living longer, thanks to better preventive
medicine. Like older people, older pets are more prone to certain types of cancer.
Sara Creek Veterinary Clinic takes a compassionate interest in these special pets.
Consultation and treatment on surgical and medical care for cancer patients is
definitely a cornerstone interest for Sara Creek Veterinary clinic. |
ALLERGY
TESTING Yes, pets can have allergies too. Common skin allergies in dogs
and cats include fleabite dermatitis, food allergies, contact allergies and atopy
(inhaled allergens). Sara Creek Veterinary Clinic offers allergy testing to determine
exactly what your pet is allergic to. Once we determine what your pet is allergic
to, we can sometimes treat it with de-sensitization shots. |
| PREVENTIVE MEDICINE An
ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. At Sara Creek Veterinary Clinic,
we believe routine yearly exams, blood testing, fecal analysis, and vaccines are
important to keep your pet healthy and happy. Ideally, they will prevent health
problems from occurring. If a problem does occur, we hope to detect it early to
have a better chance to treat it. |
